One of the best things about a person is having identity. I’m not only talking about character, but also that «something» that makes them special. A while ago I ran into a Brigitte Bardot board on Pinterest and I had the idea of creating a look inspired by her. Her style was so unique that it took her name and turned it into the definition of a classic matte smokey eye.
Something I find very important for this look is the way the eyeshadows are blended. The eyes are supposed to look a little lived in, slightly droopy, not the usual cat eye shape that we live in these days. There’s a lot of smudging in the lower lash line that helps it look carefree and smokey. I obviously don’t have the same lips as her so I outlined my cupid’s bow to make it a little more rounded. What’s so great about this look is that it fits everything and every one, even if you’re new to makeup you’ll find products similar to these to recreate something à la Bardot.

Icons from the past really had their own style and signature look didn't they, while these days it's very easy for people to just blend. I think you portrayed her style perfectly and you look absolutely stunning as always x

I love the shape of the the eyeshadow, it's my favorite on myself compared to winging it out.

Your eye makeup looks stunning. I don;t go for a very smokey eye but whenever I apply eyeliner I always like to smudge it out, it just gives a softer look. x

I love dark eyes paired with nude lips. So pretty! Sadly I'm a granny these days lol and don't go out partying anymore (or very rarely). I feel like I just don't have enough occasions for a look like this. But your post made me want to find an excuse to go out just to recreate it. Lovely, as usual! x
